Sheriff Judd- A True Knight in Shining Armour

It's almost here!  CHRISTMAS!!!  When we celebrate the birth of the most precious child to walk the earth- the baby Jesus!  Speaking of babies, and without getting too much into Christmas- yet, I wanted to take a moment and celebrate something else of importance involving children...

It is the arrest of Philip Ray Greaves of Colorado.  Greaves, you may remember, is the author of that horrendous book "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-Lover's Code of Conduct".  Yes, it is THAT book- the one that just a few weeks ago could be found emblazoned on Amazon.com's website for sale, the book that sparked a national outrage against the popular on-line bookstore. 

At the time we were informed that this author was ONLY excersizing his right of freedom of speech, and who was Amazon to deny him his rights?  Well, that little arguement didn't last long as they eventually pulled the book after threats of mass exodus from the site.  But then we were assured again of his rights as the public demanded to know WHY this man wasn't in jail.  "Oh he has the right to write these things" we were told.  But parents wanted something more than that.  Parents wanted something that was a little less patronizing and a little more serious.  Would anyone listen?

With a bold move, one Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd demonstrated action that showed support for concerned citizens, not just in Florida, but across the entire fruited plains, from sea to shining sea...  A man known in his state as a crusader against baby rapers became angry that no one was taking serious efforts to put this man behind bars.  So he decided that there was no time to waste waiting for someone else to act.  He had undercover detectives contact Greaves, and hammer out a deal that sent the last copy to their eager hands, complete with a personalized autograph handily in the front cover. 

It was then that Greaves received the news- the very same detectives he so proudly shared his putrid ink with were returning the favor- having him arrested, extradited, and charged with the third-degree felony of violating Florida's obsenity law.  His filth was landing him the only place he belonged- in jail.

Now I know the thoughts of some- that this man has the right to write whatever he wanted.  But the reality is this: while our speech is protected by the first ammendment, that right was not meant as a blanket protection for any kind of speech anytime.  But creeps like this try to hide behind our Founding Father's penmenship, abusing what was meant for the good of society.  The reality is, speech is NOT protected by our beloved Constitution OR the Bill of Rights when that speech puts other innocent people in danger; and that is EXACTLY what Sheriff Judd was rightly claiming. 

According to the reports, this book was nothing short of a "how-to" guide for pedophiles, with graphic sexual encounters with children described in the book.  Sheriff Judd went on to explain, "It deals with techniques, avoiding risk of discovery and provided real-life examples of how to do this. That goes beyond free speech. No one loves the Constitution and the First Amendment as much as I do, but this goes beyond free speech."  And I couldn't agree more.

Here is reality, people- we have gotten WAY too soft on babyrapers in this Country.  A child molested serves a life sentence just for being an innocent victim, while in the same respect the molestor ON AVERAGE across America will serve 2-4 years in prison, in a protected status away from other inmates to "ensure his safety".  I say, TO HELL WITH HIS SAFETY.  I say a 2-4 year sentence for these monsters is an absolute insult to justice.  I say when they get written off as "being sick" or "having some kind of mental illness" it is spitting in the face of all that is right and good in this world.  I say when they say that they need "rehabilitation", that the only rehabilitation they should get is at the end of the sword.

What a disgusting thought to realize that in our Country the victim- an innocent child- suffers, having THEIR rights forever violated, while our justice system so often tries to step softly over every stone to ensure the so-called rights of babyrapers isn't violated.

Now I know what you are thinking- what does that have anything to do with this guy?  He just wrote a book!  And he made a public assertion that he "only has sex with adults"!  Well I will tell you.  First off, every pedophile says "I only have sex with adults".  And they are all liars.  So I could care less what this man claims.  Anyone with a brain knows that if someone is writing garbage like this, they are likely just as guilty of committing it.

As far as the book itself, well- here is what the good sheriff had to say about it: "He was not only a menace to the children in Colorado by teaching predators how to sexually abuse children, but by the fact he published [the book], any predator or would-be predator could learn how to sexually abuse children." 

This supposed "book" was a tool to train pedophiles how to molest.  Do I really need to go into it further?  Is this really something that needs further discussion on why he should be in jail?  I would think "conspiracy to commit a criminal act" could also be thrown in for a charge...  And I would add that the publisher should be in jail too.  Actually, no- I recant that.  Instead I will state that this author, and his publisher, belong in the only earthly place where true justice can be found for these and other pedophile creeps- at the end of a sword.

One final thought to those naysayers who would still insist this man is protected by the same Constitution that he has virtually wiped his butt with- I will leave you with one more quote from Sheriff Judd:  "What's wrong with a society that has gotten to the point that we can't arrest child pornographers and child molesters who write a book about how to rape a child?"

Thank God for men like Sheriff Judd, who aren't afraid to be men.
